Peter Leal is a freelance photographer using an unbridled and natural approach. His passion lies in capturing the ‘fleeting moment’ that so many of us may not have noticed if there wasn’t a camera around. Although he also has a flair for the dramatic portrait. Photographing people is his intrigue. A collection of his portraits were recently seen in his first ever Los Angeles solo exhibition at the TAG Gallery in Santa Monica featuring our most vulnerable population, patients with disabilities. The work was a donation on his part that went on to auction and help raise ten thousand dollars toward Angels’ Smiles, a non-profit organization benefiting medical care for his subjects. People and portraiture are his forte’. A recipient of numerous photography awards, with recent exhibitions also opening in Orange County, Los Angeles and New York, he relishes the moment you may never see again, intimate, personal, a secret you can’t hear…and captured in that single frame.
