The Los Angeles-based electronic-music Don known as Kraddy has always brought the undiluted sound of the underground to new audiences. From his work as a founding member of the infamous Glitch Mob to his solo work, Kraddy (born Matthew Kratz) has always been known for shattering genre conventions while moving crowds everywhere from Red Rocks to L.A.’s famed Low End Theory club. From his breakthrough 2008 hit “Android Porn” to the innovative bangers comprising his latest e.p. Labyrinth (Alpha Pup), Kraddy continues to hybridize hip-hop, dubstep and dancehall with face-melting panache and rock and roll bravado. But the man himself was as surprised as anyone when the mainstream crossed over to him.
HugLife (aka Slink) is not just a Producer/DJ. He is a musical pioneer. To party with Huglife is to have so much $%&*@ fun, it hurts.
With over 15 Years of experience behind the decks, this guy knows how to rock a crowd.
Not constrained to one genre, in his sets he veers into Moombahton, Bass Music, Trap, Electro and Mashups.
From the first glimpses of Robert Balotsky’s work as Buku, it was clear that the Pittsburgh native and graduate of Music Technology was onto something. With an effortless grasp on sound design and music theory, the young producer combines deceptively simple and emotive melodies, laden with resounding bass drops and intricate drum patterns. With a love of drums rooting from childhood, his work reflects the obsession – emitting percussive elements only a trained ear could produce.
Behind a kit since age 8, he followed the progression of handling percussion duties for multiple bands throughout his adolescence. Once introduced to digital production, Buku took his techniques to stranger dimensions – and he’s been pushing the boundaries ever since.
His early work has placed him at the forefront of a new wave of rising talent amongst East Coast producers. Garnering interest and plays from Starkey, Lunice, Paper Diamond, Shiftee, Clicks & Whistles, Kastle (to name a few), the up-and-comer has been paving a promising road over the last year.
With his debut release, ‘Slippy’ under the Slit Jockey imprint and a remix of Starkey’s ‘Command’ on Civil Music, Buku is poised to make much larger waves in the coming months: haters beware.
Garnering support from Toddla T, Worthy, Cyril Hahn, Salva, B.Traits, Kry Wolf, Kastle, the legendary King Britt, and even Tiesto, Jason Burns has quickly become your favorite producer’s favorite producer. The Ohio-bred, Portland-based artist has earned the ear of his peers by carefully creating an alchemic fusion of garage, house and bass music shrouded in soulful R&B style melodies.
More recently, Burns has remained busy in the studio – crafting EP’s on both the Sounds of Sumo and Symbols imprints. His remix of Natasha Kmeto’s “Pleasure Delay” reached #7 on XLR8R’s “best of 2013” list. His recent remix collaboration with Jessie Andrews has crossed over to become a deep house anthem after Several BBC Radio1 plays and it’s inclusion on Tiesto’s “Club Life” mix series. While the prolific producer continues to receive widespread acclaim both stateside and abroad, his drive for perfection in the production realm will prove to keep his star shining well into the future.
